HB 1067 (Act 107) was passed in Arkansas.  On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, my mom and brother presented our State Senator Ricky Hill with a certificate of appreciation from the Arkansas Chapter of the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention for sponsoring and supporting this bill/act. 

The half-day conference, open to medical professionals, educators, church leaders, and members of the general public, offered invaluable knowledge and resources designed to support individuals at risk for suicide. The event was sponsored by a Chancellor’s Circle Award from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The powerful and engaging conversation focused on key areas of mental health: Adolescent Well-being, Maternal Mental Health, and Support for Veterans.
